Original Set of 6 Vintage Trumpet 1950′s Mercury Glass Christmas Tree Decorations. A very beautiful and exceptionally rare (complete set) of genuine mercury glass trumpets/horns (please note that 1 piece is just glass). Made from true mercury glass, these have mercury trapped inside the glass. Giving these pieces an exceptionally high shine finish, unseen in modern equivalents, where paint or silver is used and in many cases only to the interior of the item. Dating from the 1940′s – 1950′s these most likely originate from the glass blowing regions of Poland or Germany. The set comprises of 3 trumpets and 3 brass horns. The trumpets are silver/green, clear/red/blue and silver/dark green and red. The brass horns silver/green, silver/green/orangy red and red/silver/green black. They are in a very good condition, with wear consummate to age (rubbed paintwork visible in photos). Nice sized pieces measuring roughly 9-10cm long by 4cm, these are exceptional pieces highly sought by collectors and vintage enthusiasts. They have been boxed and gift wrapped to ensure they stay safe for years to come, or are ready for you to give as a gift to someone special, or maybe as a treat for yourself.
