VERY RARE GENUINE ANTIQUE GOOSE FEATHER CHRISTMAS TREE 4 FEET (47 INCHES). A very, very rare GENUINE and WONDERFUL Antique/Vintage, Circa 1900 – 1910 Goose Feather Christmas Tree. It is very unusual indeed for goose feather Christmas trees to have survived up until this day but the tree on offer certainly has done so. They are so rare that copies and replicas are now being produced to meet demand. Not only has this tree survived, but it has also been cherished throughout its long life. An elderly lady who previously owned the tree kept it wrapped in cotton fabric and packed it into a box in order to protect it: and as a consequence the colours still remain bright and vibrant today. A beautiful tree; having dark green branches and lighter green tips with contrasting red berries. The trunk is a gorgeous brown and it retains its original painted wooden base. Standing it just under four feet tall it was a large and luxurious tree for its time. Stunning’as is’ or perhaps embelished with antique/vintage decorations. Condition: at approximately one hundred years old or more there will be and there are some signs of age and use. Super condition really though, doubtful if there are many better – just a few berries missing only, and hardly noticable – if at all. Please see photos for more detailed condition.
