However, within the electronic wizardry of the controller box, a timer has been added such that once the lights are switched on, they will stay on for only 6 hrs. After which, the controller switches off the lights for the next 18 hrs. Subsequently, the lights switched themselves back on again at the exact same time the following day for a further 6 hours. Combined with the extremely low power LEDs being used, this enables the batteries to last up to 4 weeks. How cool is that?? No more need for external sockets or multisockets stuck under buckets/ tied inside binbags etc etc. No more going outside in the rain last thing at night to switch all the lights off!!!
