1960s General Plastics Municipal Pole Mount Christmas Yule-Brite Blow Mold Décor
RARE vintage municipal pole mounted utility pole / street light decorations. Made in the mid 1960′s by General Plastics of Marion IN. These decorations have graced the streets of two different Wisconsin municipalities over the past 50+ holiday seasons until they were recently retired. They where called “kissing Rings” in the 1960′s catalog but some people just call them “hanging spheres”. Each has one rare blow mold “Yule-Brite” finial ornament in the center. I do not have many of these decorations and once they are gone, I likely will not come across any ever again making this a once in a lifetime opportunity for all the municipal decoration and blow mold collectors. Condition varies by decoration. Some of the ornaments are red (faded to orange) and others have white ornaments in the center. Please see pictures as it is not possible for me to describe everything. The ones shown in the photos with the “sugar plums” are gone. These are large decorations and use the old-style General Plastics face plate that is NOT included.
