HUGE 6 1973 MMA Metropolitan Museum of Art STERLING SILVER Snowflake Ornament
Huge 6 1973 mma metropolitan museum of art sterling silver snowflake ornament. Click to view image album. I have seen smaller versions of this ornament, measuring about 3 to 3-1/2″; but this one is a whopping 6″ in diameter. It is sterling silver and is marked “1973 – mma – sterling” on the backside. Rather than having a jump ring at the top, as the smaller ornaments do, this ornament is designed with two loops at the backside, as shown in the last two images above. The ornament comes in what i believe is the original box with dust pouch; i do not have the original paperwork. It is in very nice condition with only minor scratches consistent with age and use – could use a polishing. Please click on the above images for large supersize photos with lots more detail.
