This rust-resistant cast-aluminum solar lantern, which features the attractive design of a 19th-century gas lamp with a powder-coated black finish and real beveled glass panes, comes with all the hardware for mounting the unit as an outdoor wall sconce; on flat surfaces, such as pillars or columns; or at the top of a three-inch-diameter lamp post. No electrical wiring is needed. Just install the light fixture, and let the sun do the rest. The Victorian’s internal Lithium Ion battery pack charges when sunlight hits the fixture’s integrated solar panel. At dusk, 13 bright-white LEDs will turn on automatically and shine at 100 lumens for up to eight hours. Output brightens to 200 lumens for 45 seconds when the motion sensor detects movement up to 20 feet away from the light. In either mode, Gama Sonic’s patented cone reflector enhances the light output and glow. Beyond providing a superior combination of light brightness and duration, Gama Sonic solar light fixtures are known for their physical durability. The Victorian’s monocrystalline silicon solar panel is protected by weather-resistant, cleanable tempered glass that helps ensure long-lasting reliability. The light’s replaceable, plugged battery pack is good for about 1,000 charges. Recharging speed varies based on weather conditions, but generally it takes about six hours of sunlight on the solar panel to achieve a full solar charge of the battery pack after it’s been completely run down.
