What should I say about this exceptional collectible made in Japan in the 1950s other than it’s extraordinary and RARELY ever found! Most of what is offered on the Internet are NOEL candy cane figurines but rarely are pixies/elves holding a Merry Christmas sign ever available. Stamped Japan underneath, there is no maker identified but the quality of workmanship is excellent and these pixies don’t disappoint. Measuring 8″ L X 1.75″ D X 4 H it is in very good to excellent condition with only a few issues – e. Some tiny spots of cold paint loss (on left cap, right leg, backs, and a tiny bit on the first red line that curls and a tiny dot on the right pixie’s face). The only other issue is some crazing throughout which is common for items of this age — 65+. There are no cracks, chips, or repairs to this gorgeous nostalgic Christmas decoration which should hold center stage in any collection of vintage Christmas figurines. [NOTE: Pictures show some reflections of overhead LED lighting].
