9 Pc Rare Complete Set 2015 Pottery Barn Fabric Reindeer Ornament Large Buffalo
Pottery Barn referred to the original set of 5 as Fabric Ornaments, although it is obvious some of the ones from 2015 are too large to hang on a tree, so they are used as decor, although the smaller ones could be used as either. What caused further confusion was that the Pottery Barn website had the wrong dimensions listed and some sellers, understandably so, put those dimensions in their listings instead of measuring each. From 2015, the complete collectible set of 5 Fabric Reindeer from Pottery Barn’s 2015 Christmas line. All were fashioned to not have detail in the face, such as eyes, and noses. The foot tall Black and White Wide stripe from 2015 was the rarest of the set, with the Large Buffalo Red and Black Check Reindeer being the most popular, and the tallest. In the 1st picture, the 5 on the left are the original collectible set of 5 from 2015, and were discontinued last year through Pottery Barn’s Catalog/Online and they did not bring them back online this year. If any were in the stores this year, they were from last year, stored in one of the warehouses. One is larger than the smaller Denver Plaid one. These are pictured on the red mat. Also, from 2016, pictured on the red mat, is the Plaid Fabric Teddy Bear from Pottery Barn and has been discontinued from their Catalog/Online. Please keep in mind that there will be some variance in height due to the twig antlers, which were hand crafted. Also, there can be variance in color of the antlers, ranging from grey, silver, white, brown, and/or almost black, or a combination of some of the colors and furthermore, there can be some variance due to being confined in packaging/packaging material. Below, is what you will receive in more detail. One New, 2015 Red and Black Buffalo Check Reindeer, that has approximate measurements of 28″ to 31″ tall to the top of the antlers that appear to be made out of wood twigs. If you measure a different way, from the beginning of his legs to his ear, it would be approximately 22″ high by approximately 12″ long. Made of polyester fabric, he is sporting a burlap scarf and his antlers are glistening (specks of glitter in his antlers). The antlers have the appearance of having a “touch of snow” on them almost like thin white over the darker colored twigs, making them almost a shimmery, silver color, in which festive dark/deep red berries and a “snow” dusted, glistening, silver colored pine cone tail complete his look, which is very stylish. This Buffalo Reindeer is the most popular and the tallest of the bunch. One New, 2015 Pinkish “Red” and White WIDE Stripe Reindeer, that has approximate measurements of 21 tall, to the top of the antlers that appear to be made out of wood twigs. This reindeer, with just measuring to his ear, would be approximately 17 and 1/2″ by approximately 10 and a 1/2″ long from the tip of his snout to the longest part of his pine cone tail. Made of polyester fabric, he is sporting a black scarf and his antlers are glistening (specks of glitter in his antlers), and the antlers appear to have a “touch of snow” on them (almost like thin white over the darker colored twigs, making them almost a shimmery silver color in some cases), in which festive deep red berries and a “snow dusted” pine cone tail are present, adding to the festivity of this reindeer. Some may have glued theirs but I don’t to keep it in it’s original condition Again, these are hand made, so it is possible that it once was glued but believe the “wire” that holds the pine cone tail would have to be thicker to make the tail stationary. The pine cone tail does stay on unless you move it around. This reindeer is unique looking, adding to it’s charm. One New 2015 Pottery Barn Black and White Wide Striped Reindeer, with the approximate measurements of a good 1 ft tall to the top of the antlers, that appear to be made out of wood twigs. This reindeer, without figuring his antlers into the height, would be approximately 10 and 1/2″ high by approximately 6 – 7″ long. Made of polyester fabric, he is sporting a red scarf (think it is felt) and his antlers are glistening (specks of glitter in his antlers), and the antlers appear to have a touch of snow on them (almost like thin white over the darker colored twigs, again, making them almost a shimmery, silver color), in which festive deep red berries and a pine cone tail are present. There is a thin jute twine loop for hanging. That is about 8 long, when pulled out straight. This particular reindeer seems to be the one they made the fewest of, out of the bunch. One new “Red” and White NARROW Stripe Reindeer with the approximate measurements of 8 tall to the top of the antlers that appear to be made out of wood twigs. This reindeer, without figuring his antlers into the height, would be approximately 6 and 1/2″ high by approximately 4″ long. Made of polyester fabric, he is sporting a black scarf and his antlers are glistening (specks of glitter in his antlers), and the antlers appear to have a touch of snow on them (almost like thin white over the darker colored twigs), in which festive berries and a pine cone tail are present. There is a thin, jute twine loop for hanging, that is about 4 long, when pulled out straight. One new Black Faire Isle Reindeer that is approximately 7 and a 1/2 tall to the top of the antlers that appear to be made out of wood twigs. This reindeer, without figuring his antlers into the height, would be approximately 6″ high by approximately 4″ long, and is wearing a white scarf. The antlers are dark brown, with no “snow effects”. It does not have any berries, but a brown pine cone is present. Also there is no glitter in the antlers. This reindeer is also known as the “Sweater Reindeer” because of the material and pattern he is made of. Further known as the “runt” because without antlers, his body, (but not necessarily his antlers) is the smallest of the bunch. Sometimes this one’s antlers can give him more height than the one listed above, but again, the body is shorter. There is a thin twine loop for hanging, that is about 4 long, when pulled out straight. Now for the descriptions of the 2016 items. One new 2016 “Large” (Fabric) Red, Black, (not Buffalo Check), Grey, and White Plaid, Reindeer Ornament from Pottery Barn. It has the approximate measurements of a foot in height, with measuring it’s antlers. Without measuring the antlers in, then the approximate height measurement is approximately 10 and 1/2″ x approximately 6 and 1/2″ long. He is sporting a black scarf. The antlers do have glitter, as does the glistening, silver pine cone tail, but no berries in the antlers. There is a red velvet loop for hanging. It is quite attractive. One new, 2016 Small (Fabric) Reindeer Ornament from Pottery Barn, also known as the “Denver Plaid” Reindeer from Pottery Barn. It has the colors of red, black, white and two shades of grey, with one being almost a greenish grey and the other, a light shade of grey, and is sporting a red scarf. The antlers have glitter, but no berries in them. There is also glitter on the silver, glittering pine cone tail. It has the approximate measurements of 6 and 1/2 to the top of the antlers. Without the height of the antlers, it then would be approximately 5 and 1/2″ x approximately 3 and 3/4″ long. This cute reindeer has a red velvet loop for hanging. One new, 2016 Red, Black, White and Grey Plaid (Fabric) Teddy Bear Ornament. His eyes and nose are black. Around his neck is a grey “tie”, that is tied into a bow under his chin. The approximate measurements are 3″ wide x 3.5″ deep x 5 high. He is handmade of polyester and plastic, and comes with a red velvet loop for hanging. He has m oveable arms and legs that goes back to the original position, as soon as it is released. With buttons down his front, he is quite adorable. One new, Mongolian Reindeer that Pottery Barn describes as looking like it traveled straight from the North Pole. Overall, the approximate measurements are almost 2 ” wide x 6″ high. He is made of polyfoam and wool. There is a twine string for hanging. This furry reindeer has a brown nose and with all the white, almost looks angelic. Being handcrafted, there will, or may be, slight differences, especially in the antlers’ height and color with each of the reindeer. Please remember that these are not toys and are only for decorative purposes. There are customers of mine and customers of other sellers that have the complete 2015 Set, but believe most are hanging onto them as collectibles.
