Original Set of 6 Vintage Trumpet 1950′s Mercury Glass Christmas Tree Decorations. A very beautiful and exceptionally rare (complete set) of genuine mercury glass trumpets/horns. Made from true mercury glass, these have mercury trapped inside the glass. The mercury gives these pieces an exceptionally high shine finish unseen in modern equivalents of mercury glass, where paint or silver is used and in many cases only to the interior of the item – where it will still wear over time. Dating from the 1940′s – 1950′s they are most likely to originate from the glass blowing regions of Poland or Germany.
